### Permanent source cleanup
**Settings > Uploads** can permanently delete a source file after every destination selected for that file has completed successfully. This option is disabled by default and requires an explicit warning confirmation before it can be enabled.
Cleanup remains blocked while any required destination is unfinished, failed, canceled, skipped, or missing valid confirmation. The application records the original file identity, preserves successful destinations across retries and restarts, waits for active file handles to close, and refuses deletion if the source was replaced or modified. Every cleanup decision and result is written to the upload log. Deletion bypasses the Recycle Bin and cannot be undone.
