Capture the v3.3.78 byse lesson: a truncated upload host (sNNNN.filemoon, no TLD) must not be "repaired" by guessing a TLD — every resolving candidate was a parked / squatter domain (parklogic PTR, shared catch-all cert). Verify PTR + cert SAN before trusting a domain; discard the obviously-broken value and let the existing retry/cache machinery find a valid one.
